Candles By Victoria : First Experience.

Hello!
So yeah.. I got my Candles by Victoria scent shots quite some time ago, but I really wanted to try them out before telling you anything about them :) I got the 8 scent shot sampler pack in the bakery scent, plus the Dr. Pepper one and the Bath time with Pooh one.

Seriously, I LOVE those. They are fully scented, and they melt like a dream. ( I also bought the electric tart warmer, the black one if you are interested :D )

So I'll show you them one by one, telling you what I think about each!

Pumpkin Pie Spice.
I have to admit that I don't really know what pumpkin smells like, but this baby surely smells like spices. It reminds me of the little cinnamons hearts that are available around valentine's day plus another scent that I can't put my nose on.. That might be the pumpkin part :)

Wildberry Scone.
Pure yumminess. I can smell the berry and the bakery dough scent out of it. It's surely something that I'm happy to have for fall since it is a really comforting kitchen scent.

Dr. Pepper.
I'm not impressed with this one. It does smell like cherry spicy cola, but nothing dead on Dr. Peppery. I still like it, but not one of my favorites.

Buttery Caramel.
Let's be honnest here, since this little story have an happy end. When I first smelled it, I tought of pee... The cold throw of it is disgusting to me. I was disapointed. But then, I decided to burn it, taking the chance. That's when the magic happened! It started smelling like a graham cracker crust with melted butter plus a little caramel on it. Yum :)

Log Cabin.
According to Victoria, this one is suppose to smell like pancakes covered by maple syrup. I can smell both actually, the pancake scent being overpowered by the maple syrup one. Still a great one :)

Bath time with Pooh.
I looove this! It really smells like the product it's duping. Fresh flowery honey scent that all my family likes :)

Buttercream Crunch.
This one I like. It smells just like when my mom cooks cake it the kitchen. It truely smell like butter and cream. I can get the maple syrup and the vanilla that Victoria discribes, but none of the coconut and cocoa is coming to my nose actually.

Country Fair Funnel Cake.
I actually don't know what this type of food is so I can't say if it's right or wrong, but it smells like something I would like to eat! It's syrupy and buttery, plus a little something that I don't know.

Butter Rum Crunch.
It does smell like the name says. Buttery dessert scent and a subtle note of rum added. ( I have never drink rum before, but to know the smell of it I did opened a bottle in the kitchen, my mom was really looking wierd at me .. )

Snickerdoodle.
It does stand to what Victoria put on her website. Cookie sugary dough and lots of spices! I'm not a fan, but it still smells good :)

Simply Delicious.
This is one of the House Blend Frangrances. According to Victoria, it includes pears, vanilla, rich cream, butter and brown sugar. I can smell every notes except for the pear in the cold throw of this, kind of sadly  ( I love pears :) ). It's is still a good one, and the only one that I haven't burned yet.


That's all actually! I'm really pleased with those scent shot and I want to get more of them :) I might try some of the fruity scent, plus a couple perfume and more bakery. I can't wait!

Random Make Up :D

Hello ! :)

So yesterday, I started playing with my make up... Yeah, I went a little crazy and here's what came out of it.. :

Yeah, I went TRUELY crazy.. I concealed my brows ( quite happy for how it turned out on my first try ( THANKS TO PETRILUDE ) ) and I drew some on.. I had a blast doing is.. I also teased my hair to hell... That was not fun to brush out after ..  Oh well :)

-Brow concealing technique with a glue stick from Petilude's video

Smoke is out Maybelline ! : 02 Natural Smokes

Hey!!

So today, for you, I have my first post of my first ever serie! * Round of applause *. It's all about the Maybelline Stylish Smokes Quads and doing a natural look and turn it into a more dramatic one.

There's four of these baby, so this post is about the first one which is '' 02 Natural Smokes ''. It's the one that include the more brown toned natural color and it looks like this :

 Here's both look I did with it :

See? See? Dramatic then natural :) I would surely wear the dramatic look more often, but I though it would be good to show that the quad is really polyvalent!

So Natural Look : The Close Up! 

Mini Tutorial :
1. Urban Decay Primer Potion ALL Over 
2. Mac Soft Ochre paintpot on the lid
3. Brow bone color from the quad all over the lid up to the brow
4. Lid color in the crease to define lightly
5. Crease color over the lid color concentrated in the outer corner
6. Outer corner color on the lash line as a liner, to define the eye a little
7. Curl lashes and add mascara ( here it's Maybelline Lash Stiletto )
8. Enjoy your natural eyes :)


Then for the dramatic eye close up :

Mini tutorial too! :
1. I started with the natural eye, to make an evolution from day to night look so.. We'll start from there!
2.Take the lid color from the quad and swipe that over the lid, but let the inner corner with the light Brow Bone color
3. Take the Crease color and put it on the outer half part of the lid and in the crease
4. Take the Outer Corner color and put it in the crease. Make sure it's smokey and dark. Take the same corner and put it on the 3/4 of the lower lash line
5. Add dramatic liner and do a wing, it looks better :) ( I used Buxom Lash Liner in leatherette ) and line your water line too !
6. Curl lashes and add mascara ( I used Rimmel The Max Volume Flash mascara ), and don't forget your lower lashes !


So yes! That's basically it! There's only two option on this post, but there is so many other option to try with this quad , I really recommend it!

Nails of the Day : Try to Water Marble

Heyy :)
So this is a quick post to let you know that first, I'm having a break out problem for some kind of wierd reason so no faces of the day for a while, and that second, I gave a try to water marbling :)

Yeah, quite far from perfection, but it was fun :) I for sure need to do it more often to get better!

-Avon French Tip White Nailwear Pro (as a base coat for colors to stand out)

-Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Celeb City
-Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Black out 
And for sure base and top coat :)

FOTD : Bad Ass Watermelon

So, this isn't quite a Face Of The Day since I was only messing around with my make up at midnight but I still wanted to post it !

So yeah :) I'm pretty happy about it! I actually choose the color by asking my boyfriend 3 questions. What is the first color that comes to your mind ? He said pink. Name a color that makes you happy. He said green. Name a color that make you sad. He said black. So I came up with this :)

Class of 2010 : Prom ( Last Update! )

Hey!

So, my prom happened quite some time ago actually ( on june 22 ). I haven't found the time to update my blog in any shape or form, and I'm really sorry about it! :'(

Now that summer is up and that I have a lot of free time, I can get to post more often! I have a lot of ideas actually! So, let's finish this mini serie on my graduation so we can get up to beauty.

 So, this is me, with my dress, which is a long ''A'' line dress with beads all over :) Sorry for the face! I was maybe too exited about the night :)

So again, my dress, you get a better look of it here :) On this picture, I'm with a girl that I know that seriously look like Ariel the little mermaid to me :) ( We were celebrating the '' WE HAVE LONG DRESSES '' since we were maybe 3 or 4 girls to rock that style )

I know, I don't have that much picture to show, actually, everything is on my boyfriend's camera. I had a blast and I'm glad that everything is over now :) ( I might update this post when I get the official pictures that were taken )
