Don't you love making special friends when you blog?

Hello lovely ladies

I know that it is actually tuesday, and that I'm kind of late, but last wenesday I received the sweetest gift from my very special friend Alicia aka FunnyFace Beauty. It all started when she talked about those EOS lipbalms on her blog, and I left a comment saying how frustrating it is that it is not sold in Canada. She told me that she was actually going to the States the next day, and that she would pick one up for me, which I tought was so sweet and kind ! I was amaze at that! But then, while we were e0mailing back and forth, she told me that her package wasn't ready because she wanted to pick up a few little things that she enjoyed for me. Again, I was really speechless about this. Then, wenesday come and I go to pick up the mail and I see that biiiiiig enveloppe with my name on it. I thought she would have add maybe a gloss, or a nail polish, but no, she's too amazing for that ! I already sent her an e-mail explaining how grateful I am to have her as a friend, and how she really touched me with this marvelous gift.

See all this? I was only expecting a lipbalm! Seriously, I'm blessed to know her.
So this is actually what started it all, the EOS lip balm in Honysuckle Honeydew. Let me tell you something... I LOOOOVE this! Seriously! There are awesome! If I ever go to the States again, I'mm buying all the other ones!

Then I got 2 Wet n Wild Color Icon single shadows in Nutty and Kitten. I played with those and they are so pigmented! Like, serious? These have some good color payoff, if you're on a budget and you want to buy some good make up, go for these, or even the palettes! But stay in the Color Icon range! :)
After that I saw these babies in the package. There is a MAC Dazzleglass in Local Color, a NYC Liquid Lip Shine in Sheer Ruby and a Sally Hansen Volumizing Shield in Plump It Up. I have not tried the Sally Hansen one yet, but I'm in love with the two glosses ! :)

Then there was a Lancome Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara base, which I have not tried yet, plus something really awesome that she made me discovered. A Joe Fresh Nail Polish in Powder Blue. GOD! Those polishes dry fast and last forever! Nail polish usually stays on me for maybe 2 days maximum... This one was still there without chiping after 5 days with a little tip wear. It could have last longer, I just decided to took it off to use another nail polish.

Last but surel not the least, she sent me an ELF Brush belt. I was on cloud 9 when I saw this. Alicia is actually a good friend of mine, and we talk a lot, sending e-mail back and forth, or on facebook, and she knows that I want to be a make up artist in the future. And who can be a complete make up artist without a brush belt!? Ahah! In this gift, I saw all her support in my dream. I'm truey lucky to have her as a good friend, who is there for me when ever I need to talk. She's really someone I can trust.

So yes, this is what the lovely and so generous Alicia gave to me, and you can't even imagine how happy I am with everything. I'm really grateful for all the neat stuff she sent to me :) I can't wait to meet her for real at IMATS! Do you know it's 10 days away? :)

Thanks for reading everyone, and don't forget to look at Alicia's blog if you haven't already!

We Smoke Skittles Serie : Grapes.

Hello!

So here's a new serie that I decided to start :) It'll be all about smoky eyes, which are my personal faves, and colorful looks, which are what I adore to wear also.

I have to say that this is my first try at tutorialing, Please tell me if you like it in the comment section :)

Okai, so as the first look of this serie, I decides to take the rainbow from the bottom and start with Grape Flavored Skittles ( aka the purple smokey eye :D ).

Here we go !

1. First, apply a primer over your eyes. It will help the shadow stay longer without creasing and make the color more vibrant too.
I used MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot here, although I would recommend something like Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

2. Apply a light lilac color in the inner corner of your eyes.
I used Urban Decay eye shadow in Grifter. Be careful if you use this too! Major glitter fall out will go down your face!

3. Apply a mid-toned purple to the middle of your eyelid and blend is with the lilac.
I used Urban Decay eye shadow in Flash.

4. Apply a slightly darker purple in the outer corner. Blend it with the previous shadow. Apply the same color to the lower lash line.
I used Make Up For Ever eye shadow in no. 92.

5. With a fluffy brush, apply a dark purple in your crease. Go two thirds in.
I used MARK i-mark eye shadow in Piccadilly.

6. Use a black shadow directly in your outer corner, and an highlight color on the browbone to blend the harsh edge all around the eye.
Sorry, this one is really washed out. I used Urban Decay eye shadow in Oil Slick for the black, and MARK i-mark in Whisper for the highlight.

7. Put your eyeliner on both upper and lower lash line. I prefer to wing mine.
Again, sorry for the major glare in this picture. I used Buxom Lash liner in Leatherette.

8. Curl your lashes and add mascara, and you're done!
I used Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara.

Oh Please don't mind the hair, it's all gross I know, but that's what happens on rainy day! ( And also, you might want to tame your eyebrows before doing pictures . OH WELL! I'm far from perfection, I'm simply an human! :) )

So yes! Tell me what you think about those tutorials! What you like, dislike, what I can improve! All constructives requests will be taken seriously :)

Thanks for reading guys :) My 100th follower give away will come soon!

My top 4 Mascaras!

Hello Lovelies :)

Today, we'll have have a blast looking at close up pictures of my lashes !! Yay! I'm going to introduce you to my favorite mascaras of all time ( all time being the 3 years of my like that I've actually been wearing make up :D )

First, we'll start by some eye lashes pornographie. Here are my oh so naked, but curled, lashes!
Short, short babies. Plus, they're pale! They have ALL for them! ahah :)

Here is, with no particular order, my top 4 favorite mascaras,
Oh, a classic. Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume mascara. First, I need to say that I'm SO NOT a fan of the clumpy, crusty, look-I-have-5-ginormous-lashes look. I'm more of a soft and closer to natural lashes girl. As you can see here. My lashes are longer and fuller, which I love about this mascara. I'm a fan of the rubber bristle wands by the way. They seem to work better on me :) I like the dry formula on this one, well, on pretty much every mascaras since they're kind of all like this! I hate hate hate wet mascara, they weight my lashes down, and often cause booboos.

Then, there's the L'Oréal Clean Definition Telescopic. It's more of a lenghtening mascara, which makes my lashes not as full compare to the lash blast. It's not a problem to me since they serve different purpose to me. The mascara I wear depends on the look of the day :) Like Lash Blast, it has a rubbery wand, well not as big, and it's a dry kind of formula.

Here is Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara. Again, more of a leghtening mascara, but this oe hold my curl longer than the telescoping, although it makes my lashes more spiky looking. I don't really care about it since I preffer that to clumps. Then, it's still going on the trend of rubber brush, dry formula thing.

Last but oh so not least. MARK Make it Big mascara. I haven't tried their other kind of mascaras, but I really like this one. It's the only ''natural fiber brush'' mascara I love, which should means a lot. I like what it does!! Makes my lashes flirty looking, to me at least! It stills follow the trend of the dry side formula. Did you notice that people who are on what I'm going to call the ''Lash Blast'', which includes drier kind of mascaras, then you not support the '' Collossal'' team, which includes wet mascaras? Well, I'm like that. I hated the collossal by maybelline, the voluminous by L'oréal, and all of their wet friend.

Anyway, I hope you liked this, and that you might want to try a new mascara now! :)

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to tell me waht your favorite mascara is!!

FunnyFace Beauty's Dare to Wear Challenge III

Oh my god.

I'm so late on this one!! But better late than never :) Here's my ''entry'' for lovely Alicia's challenge! Here's the look we were suppose to replicate :

To me, she's wearing a more neutral eye on top, ( look at the right eye, toward the inner corner, doesn't that look a bit like MAC Amber Light? ) it doesn't look like it because of the thick liner and those feathery lashes, with blue slapped fon the lower lash line. Here's my take on it :)

So yes!! I hope you enjoyed it! My next post will be about my top 4 mascaras, will you come back to see it? :)

Thanks for reading!!

Bold look, the return! Ahah :D

Hola Chickas! :)

Want to see what I did today!? Even if not, I'm going to share it :)

Pretty pretty! :) I really like it! I went to ''Dolorama'', which is a dollar store, to buy sequins to glue on my face :) I'm obsessed with gluing this on my face at this moment! AHAH :) For the feathers, I had them already, but now, since a friend want me to do this on her for halloween but in turquoise tones, I need to buy more! :)

I used a red and the yellow for the Coastal Scent 88 color palette, plus MAC Orange, MAC Firecracker and MAC Louder, Please! over some kind of theatrical make up my mom gave me for christmas a little while ago... On the lips is Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude topped with Funtabulous Dazzleglass by MAC. There's also a picture with a red lip, it's NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear in Retro Red, with some random shadow to make the fading. :)

(bad lighting in this one! Ahah :D )

So yes! That is all for today everyone! I hope you enjoyed it! :)

Thanks for reading!!

September 2010 Favorites !

Hello :)

So here is my first edition of my monthly favorites! * Yayyy! *

I have been enjoying a couple of thing this month, so here we go!

First, I've been using my MAC Royal Asset : 6 Smokey Eyes a whole lot, at least one color from it every day. I like Maid Of Honnor ( last color on the first row ) as a high light, since it's matte, and Rondelle (last color on the second row ) as a inner corner high light a lot ! :) I've been also enjoying puting Rondelle all over the lid, with Knight and Courtly Grey in the crease ( Knight being the first color on the last row, Courtly Grey being the one next to it ) and Maid Of Honnor as a brow High Light. This combo (last look on this post) as been my favorite over the last month.

I've been also loving MAC's Swiss Chocolate, Amber Lights, Blanc Type and Crystal Avanlanche a bunch ( the pro pan color, in the same order, left to right ). Together, they have been my second favorite look to wear. Also, as you can see from the big pan part in my Crystal Avanlanche, this color is my ALL TIME FAVORITE to put in my inner corner as a high light. ( Sephora's Aspen Summit from the free beauty insider gift being a really good dupe for it ).

Next, in order from left to right again, I've been liking my MAC Soft Ochre paint pot as a base for almost every single look I do. The container isn't the real one since I transfered it because it was hard to reach to product on the side at a certain point. It makes my eyeshadow stays all day, which is a must. I also like Urban Decay Primer Potion, but I just ran out of it.

The next product is the Buxom Lash Liner in the color Leatherette. As you can see, I use it wierdly, ahah! It's half gone, and you can clearly see it! It's a really creamy gel/cream liner. I use it EVERYDAY to make my '' signature '' winged liner ( seriously, my friends see it when I don't do it! ). It's very black and stays on well, PLUS, it claims that there are some kind of mineral thingy inside that are supposed to be really good for your lashes... It might be a fake claim, but I kind of believe it.

Next is my MAC Gold Spice Brushed Metal-X Cream Shadow. This is what I use when I do the look with Amber Light as the main color. It just makes it pop! I also love the texture on this. I don't know why but when you put your(clean) finger in it, it doesn't feel creamy, but they you apply it and a tiny bit goes a loooooong way. Seriously I'm never going to ran out of this!

Then there's a new discovery. My MARK Make it Big Lash Plumping Mascara. I loooooove this. I got it free with a special that was in the MARK Megalogue where if you bought 3 things featured on a page you got it. Well this thing is good. It plumps and lenghtens my lashes without any clumps, what can I ask other than that?

Then, I've been loving my Rimmel Airy Fairy as an everyday lipstick, and I've been orgasming over red lips too. I LOVE red lips. I feel '' sexy '' and confident rocking it to school ( the main place where I go ). The one that I used the most is a MARK Lipclick in Cha Cha, which is creamy, pigmented and not drying. I recommend.

Then, there's my NYX Angel blush, which is simply the only blush I've been using all month. I like the color, but the main reason is that I'm trying to finish it actually since I had it for a long time.

Next is the MAC Tinted Lip Conditionner in Popster. It's getting old now, it's still good tho, but I try to use it up. Mainly I've been slaping it on my lips before going to bed as a night lip treatment, and when I wake up in the morning, my lips are soft and ready for the day :)

The last lip product that I love is the Lypsyl Lip balm with the bees wax in it. I have the original formula and GOD, this is good stuff. I put this all day long, over lip stains or before reapplying lipstick, and it keeps my lips soft and fresh, since it is a little minty :)

Next are my favorite brushes. I could only have those and be fine for an everyday routine.

First is the Sigma E35 ( aka SS217 ). This is good for applying and blending color in my crease and can also be use to put color on the lid, ( even if usually I take my Sigma E55( aka SS239 to do it ) to do it, this could do the job )

Then there's Annabelle A-21 brush, that I only use for my brow high light.

The next one is the Sigma E30 ( aka SS219 ) that I use strickly for my inner corner high light.

Then I have my MAC 266 angle liner brush, that is my lovely liner best friend. I use this baby everyday with my cream liner.

Last but not least, there's my Sigma F40 ( aka SS168 ) to do my blush, the shape is just really good for the way I put my blush on :)

The Nail Polish of the month would be OPI's Russian Navy in the suede finish. I don't know why, but this color have a soothing effect on me, if I'm stressed out or mad, I can just look at it and be calm again.. It's really really pretty!

I also love my Shu Uemura eye lash curler. This is a must have for me since my lashes are really pin straight out of my eyelid. The last one I had always pinched my skin, and this one never did. I recommend this to everyone.

The last ''beauty related'' item I've been loving is my Liquid Latex from Ben Nye. Playing with is and experimenting is just AWESOME! I can't wait to be better at it and rock a creapy look at halloween!

Then for the non-beauty related item, I've been LOVING...

HOUSE! GOD! This show is amazing! One of my friend (and I know he's reading this so Hi Nataniel!) have all the seasons on DVD and I borrow them from him. I'm now watching the end of season two and I'm so hooked. I love House, Cuddy, Wilson and Cameron, I'm not caring to much about Chase and have Love/hate relationship with foreman. Ahh, I just love to this show!

So yes! This is it! My first monthly favorite is done, and I can't wait for the next one because it'll mean that IMATS is comming!

Thanks for reading !
